Solway Single Sided Perspex Unit

The Solway Single Sided Perspex Unit is a child-height, face-forward book display with three stepped tiers behind clear Perspex panels and an additional storage compartment at the rear. It keeps book covers visible from the front while using the reverse side for extra reading materials or suitable classroom resources.

Measuring 620 mm high, 860 mm wide and 360 mm deep, the unit is manufactured from 15 mm covered MDF. It is supplied flat packed with assembly instructions and includes fixing bolts for connection to compatible Solway furniture.

Three-tier front-facing book display

The stepped front allows books to overlap while leaving cover artwork visible. Children can compare illustrations and recognise familiar titles without relying only on narrow spine text, making the unit useful for picture books, early readers and changing topic collections.

Clear Perspex retains the books without hiding them. The transparent panels also allow practitioners to review the display quickly and identify where books should be returned.

Rear storage adds practical capacity

Positioning and care

Assemble according to the supplied instructions and position indoors on a level floor. Use connecting bolts only as directed with compatible furniture. Do not allow climbing, sitting or standing on the unit. Clean the Perspex and covered MDF with suitable non-abrasive products and avoid excessive moisture around panel edges.
