But we can let you know when it's back in.
Sensory calming package brings together six sensory lighting items for exploring different colours, reflections and moving effects. The collection gives families and practitioners a selection to introduce individually in a suitable home or learning space. Choose the effect and pace around the person taking part, rather than expecting every light to produce the same response.
Begin with one item and show how its controls or intended action work. Give the participant time to look, move away or ask for another turn. Adding the whole collection at once can make it difficult to identify which effect they are interested in.
The package can provide a starting selection for a sensory area, but the activity remains adult managed. Some pieces may be handheld while others need a stable display position; follow each item's own instructions rather than using every product in the same way.
The typical Infinity Mirror offers a reflected depth effect to observe. A child can describe what seems near or far, or compare the repeated appearance with an ordinary reflection in a separate resource. The Double Disco Stick and other lighting items offer different visual patterns to notice.
Ask a specific question such as ‘Which colour can you see now?’ or ‘What changed when it was switched on?’ Pointing and choosing are useful ways to participate alongside spoken descriptions.
Select two suitable items with visibly different effects. Explore the first, switch it off and introduce the second. The participant can indicate a preference or describe a difference. Revisit a favourite effect at the next session if they choose.
For a story activity, use an appropriate light as a backdrop to a familiar picture or scene. Keep the light's role clear and avoid shining it into eyes. Story materials and any additional display equipment are supplied separately.
The typical collection includes an Infinity Mirror, Disco String Balls, Shake and Shine Lamp, Bath Lights Pack, Light Up Eggs and Double Disco Stick. These are six product entries; a named pack may contain more than one individual component.
Items may be substituted with equal or higher value alternatives depending on stock. Check the instructions supplied with the actual contents, particularly age suitability, power requirements and whether an item is intended for water use. A bath-themed item does not make the rest of the package waterproof.
The product name describes the collection, not a guaranteed effect on mood, sleep or concentration. People differ in how they respond to light and movement. Start with a manageable introduction and stop or change an effect when requested.
For educational settings, note which item the participant chose and which visible feature interested them. That gives a concrete basis for planning the next observation or communication activity.
When the Infinity Mirror is included, position it according to its instructions and invite the participant to notice the repeated appearance within the display. Describe the visible depth effect without suggesting that the apparent space can be entered or touched.
A separately supplied ordinary mirror can provide a useful comparison in another turn. Ask what appears similar and what looks different. The task can remain as simple as pointing to repeated lights or describing which view seems to continue further.
The typical Shake and Shine Lamp offers an action-led element within the collection. Demonstrate the intended movement using the supplied instructions and let the participant observe the resulting effect before deciding whether to try.
This creates a clear opportunity to discuss cause and effect: an action is followed by a visible change. Repeat gently and avoid increasing force to make the activity more challenging. A different question or a shared turn can extend the play without changing the product's intended use.
If the supplied package includes bath lights, use only those products specifically approved for the planned water activity. Prepare them separately from the dry electrical resources and check the individual instructions before introducing water.
An adult can compare a suitable bath light's appearance in two permitted positions or ask the child to choose a visible colour. Supervision remains continuous, and water containers should be emptied when the activity ends. Other items from the package should remain away from the water unless their own guidance permits that use.
Keep a simple record of which supplied item the participant chose and what interested them. A preference might relate to a colour, a particular movement or the way an effect begins. That information can guide the next session more usefully than assuming the package name predicts a response.
Store individual products with their instructions and check them before reuse. If a stock substitution changes the collection, introduce the replacement on its own so the user has time to understand the new effect.
Six lighting items provide variety for a small sensory-resource collection. Adults can explore contrasting effects, offer choices and change the activity without relying on a single permanent display.
Supervise use and secure battery compartments. Keep unsuitable electrical items away from water. Some effects may flash; select lighting appropriate for the participants. Follow each product's care guidance and keep cables and small components out of unsupervised reach.
