Outdoor Creativity Cube is a multi-sided outdoor art and mark-making station with a painting window, chalkboard and whiteboard. Children can draw, paint, write and create together around one freestanding structure, making creative provision a visible part of the playground.
The cube measures 152.5 cm high, 107.5 cm wide and 107.5 cm deep. FSC pressure-treated redwood timber provides a strong outdoor frame, while the different panels support a varied programme of early writing, art, storytelling and collaborative design.
The made-to-order cube is delivered fully assembled following an estimated four-to-six-week delivery period. The Outdoor Creativity Cube is designed to bring purposeful learning through play into outdoor classrooms, nursery gardens and school playgrounds.
Different creative surfaces allow children to select a medium that suits the idea. The clear painting window supports colour and transparency experiments, the chalkboard is ideal for temporary drawing and the whiteboard enables repeated dry-wipe mark making.
Multiple sides mean several children can work at once without producing identical results. They can create independently, look through the window at another artist or combine panels into one shared story.
Mark making is an important foundation for drawing and writing. Children can experiment with lines, curves, letters, symbols and pictures on a larger upright surface, connecting physical movement with meaningful communication.
Teachers can use the panels for phonics prompts, number work, story maps, nature drawings or collaborative art. The changing outdoor environment provides fresh subjects to observe and represent. Using the Outdoor Creativity Cube as part of a well-planned activity helps children connect new vocabulary and ideas with direct experience.
Holding brushes, chalk and suitable markers supports grip, wrist control and hand-eye coordination. Working on a vertical surface also involves shoulder and arm movement, helping children make larger marks before refining smaller details.
Moving around the cube, reaching different heights and coordinating both hands during painting create varied physical activity within creative play.
A drawing can become a shop sign, treasure map, stage backdrop or window into an invented world. Children can narrate what they have made and alter the scene as new ideas emerge.
Creative tools and consumable materials are not included unless listed separately, enabling settings to select suitable chalks, dry-wipe pens and paints. The Outdoor Creativity Cube leaves room for children to make decisions, explain ideas and change the activity as their thinking develops.
Shared surfaces encourage children to negotiate space, exchange materials and contribute to a group image. They can explain a mark, respond to another child’s idea and plan how separate drawings will connect.
The transparent painting panel also supports visual interaction between children working on opposite sides.
Nurseries can use the cube for continuous mark-making provision and focused art sessions. Schools can incorporate it into outdoor literacy, maths and science activities.
Its compact square footprint creates a permanent creative hub without requiring a separate table for every medium. Because the Outdoor Creativity Cube can support adult-led and child-chosen use, it offers valuable flexibility across the day.
Choose the Outdoor Creativity Cube for its three distinct creative surfaces and capacity for simultaneous group use. The durable timber frame turns outdoor art into an accessible daily resource, supporting mark making, early writing, fine motor skills and collaborative imagination.
