goroll-folding-table-with-benches-8ft
GoRoll Folding Table with Benches 8ft

GoRoll Folding Table with Benches 8ft

The GoRoll Folding Table with Benches 8ft brings a dining table and integrated seating together in one mobile unit for school lunch halls, breakfast clubs and classroom group work. The 2440 × 1300mm open footprint accommodates 8–12 people, with fold-down benches that can be detached where wheelchair access is needed. After use, the unit folds upright and rolls into storage on non-marking braked castors, helping a shared room change from meals to lessons or other activities without moving a separate set of chairs.

Integrated seating for school dining and breakfast clubs

The 8ft format is useful when a school wants an integrated dining unit with a shorter footprint than the 10ft and 12ft versions. Pupils sit along the two benches with their plates, trays or lunch boxes on the shared top. Staff can organise a breakfast-club group or a smaller dining section around one table, while allowing room at the sides and ends for pupils to enter and leave. The stated 8–12-person capacity should be considered alongside the chosen height and the space required by the actual diners.

The seating stays with the table through everyday set-up and clearance, so staff do not have to count out matching loose chairs each time. The detachable bench sections also give this particular model a useful layout option: an authorised adult can remove a section to create wheelchair access, following the operating instructions. Check the full approach space and position at the tabletop when planning an accessible place.

A useful dining layout considers the whole journey through the room: approaching the table, taking a place, eating and leaving. Keep routes to the meal service and exits clear, and allow staff access around occupied seating. The table is supplied as one complete unit with its integrated benches; tableware, classroom resources and other items shown in room photographs are not part of the furniture supplied.

A shared table for classroom projects and supervised clubs

An eight-to-twelve-place bench table gives a teacher scope to organise a shared project without filling the room with a longer table. A group might sort classroom objects into categories, create a large illustrated story or build a model together. Pupils reach for pieces, position them, compare results and describe what they have done. Keep the materials arranged so that children can use them from their seats and staff can reach the group. The same surface can be cleared for a supervised club or meal, giving the table a practical role beyond one lesson.

Shared meals and shared learning both involve placing objects, reaching for materials and communicating with the people nearby. For classroom activities, teachers can use the table for tasks that involve sorting, comparing, drawing or building. Any educational opportunities depend on the resources and activity, with the furniture providing the work surface and seating. Select tasks that suit the available space and avoid expecting children to climb or lean across the unit to reach something.

Changing from practical work to food service requires a clear routine. Remove pens, construction pieces and other resources, then clean the top and seating before setting out meals. After dining, remove food and drink and clean again before a lesson begins. The PU tabletop edging seals the edge against moisture and bacteria ingress, but it does not replace normal cleaning. Deal with spills promptly and use cleaning methods appropriate to the surfaces.

Choosing the height, finish and storage arrangement

Choose a table height of 640mm, 690mm or 740mm. Compare the complete table-and-seat arrangement with the intended users and activities. The open dimensions are 2440 × 1300mm, with a stated seating capacity of 8–12. Include room around that footprint for access rather than treating the product dimensions as the entire space needed. The integrated seating should be assessed together with the table height.

Measure the route from delivery point to operating area and storage position, including doorways and turns. The unit is designed for one-person movement and operation, with non-marking castors and brakes for controlled positioning. A trained adult should carry out folding, unfolding and movement according to the instructions. Clear the tabletop and keep pupils, hands and clothing away from hinges and moving parts during the process. Check that the unit is fully open, correctly secured and braked before use.

The mobile folding format is useful where a hall hosts lunch and then needs open space for another activity. Plan a designated place for the stored unit so that it does not obstruct doorways or circulation. Confirm the actual folded arrangement suits that space before ordering. The seating remains part of the furniture system, so the storage plan should account for the complete unit and its particular benches configuration.

Choose from 21 tabletop finishes: Beech, Maple, Oak, Teak, Poppy Red, Orange, Yellow, Pea Green, Azure, Powder Blue, Ailsa, Storm, Acid Green, Fuchsia, Snow Grit, White, Lilac, Mocha, Mustard, Sage and Tuscany. Wood effects and neutral finishes can coordinate with an existing room, while brighter options can distinguish a table group. Select one top finish in the product options. Different seating colours can be requested in the order notes; these should be specified clearly rather than assumed from photographs showing several combinations. Screen colours can vary from the physical finish.

This table is made to order with an approximate six-week lead time. Allow for that timing when planning a school dining refurbishment, a new breakfast-club space or a change to classroom furniture. Confirm dimensions, height, finish and delivery access before ordering. During everyday use, children should sit in the intended places and must not climb on the tabletop, seating or folded unit.

Why Choose GoRoll Folding Table with Benches 8ft?

Choose this 8ft model for a complete school dining table with the flexibility of fold-down, detachable benches in a 2440mm-long footprint. Its 8–12-person capacity, mobile storage and shared work surface also support breakfast clubs and classroom projects. It is especially relevant where schools need integrated seating and the option to plan a wheelchair-access position.

Perfect
