Its ventilated surface texture, integrated top-edge hand grip and bag-support feature give it a distinctive school-furniture specification. Designed and manufactured in the UK by Hille, the chair is offered with a 430mm or 460mm seat height, a recommended stack of 10 and a stated load capacity of 158kg. The set contains 20 chairs in your selected height and colour.

Practical seating for school dining and shared spaces

ErgoStak is marketed for school canteens as well as classrooms, making it a practical candidate for furniture that serves more than one part of the school day. The seat, back and legs form one plastic chair rather than a separate shell fixed to a metal frame. The construction gives staff an accessible surface to inspect and clean after meals and before the next use.

At lunchtime, pupils can draw individual chairs towards the table and move them back when they leave. The integrated grip gives staff a defined place to hold the chair when setting out or clearing the room. Its purpose is practical handling; it does not mean a full stack should be lifted by one person. Use the school’s normal furniture-moving arrangements for the quantity and route involved.

The bag-support feature can be useful during classroom or supervised study sessions. In dining spaces, decide where bags should be placed as part of the room layout, keeping straps and belongings away from circulation routes. The choice of 430mm or 460mm seat heights should be checked against both the diners and the table. These two heights do not make this a universal chair for every pupil.

Classroom activities and flexible learning layouts

For lessons, the same ErgoStak chair can be used at individual desks, grouped tables or practical workstations. The moulded back and sitting surface form one component, and the ventilated texture distinguishes it from a plain solid school-chair shell. Pupils sit for reading, written work, discussion or hands-on tasks, with the table and chair selected together for the activity.

At a shared worktable, learners can arrange materials, hold a ruler while drawing, compare objects or assemble a model. Such tasks provide opportunities for coordinated hand activity, language and problem-solving. The furniture supplies a place to take part, while the teaching, resources and pupil participation shape the learning experience.

A pack of 20 provides a clear allocation for a classroom group, canteen area or shared hall. Blue, Charcoal, Flame and Indian Red are the colours offered here. All 20 chairs arrive in the selected colour and height, so a school can plan a consistent appearance without assuming that the varied colours shown in photographs are supplied together.

Choosing the size, caring for chairs and planning storage

Before ordering, compare the 430mm and 460mm seat heights with existing tables and the intended users. Allow space for knees beneath the table and room behind chairs for pupils to stand and pass. If the room changes from meals to lessons, assess the arrangement in both uses. Clear food, drink and classroom materials before repositioning furniture, and clean the chair surfaces using suitable methods as part of the school’s normal routine.

The recommended stack is 10 chairs, so this set can form two stacks of 10 or smaller stacks if that is more appropriate. Keep stacks on a level surface and out of access routes, and have staff manage their movement. Inspect the one-piece body and feet for damage during normal checks. Do not permit climbing on chairs or stacked furniture. The stated 158kg capacity is approximately 25 stone; the chair also has BS EN 1729 Parts 1 and 2 compliance and a 25-year warranty.

Why Choose ErgoStak Stacking Chair Set of 20?

ErgoStak brings classroom and canteen use together in a one-piece chair with practical handling details. Its integrated grip, bag support, ventilated surface texture and ten-chair stacking recommendation are relevant to daily school routines. Two measured seat heights, a clearly specified load capacity and a 25-year warranty help buyers assess the set for the intended room and users.

Perfect For...

School dining areas and canteens using a suitable chair and table height

Breakfast clubs and rooms shared between meals and lessons

Classroom desks, group tables and practical learning stations

Schools furnishing a defined group with 20 matching chairs

Flexible school spaces where stackable seating is useful

Product Features

Set of 20 all-plastic chairs

Ventilated surface texture

Integrated top-edge hand grip

Integral bag-support feature

Recommended stacking: 10 high

Blue, Charcoal, Flame or Indian Red

Stated load capacity 158kg / 25 stone

BS EN 1729 Parts 1 and 2

UK designed and manufactured by Hille

25-year warranty

Specifications

Quantity: 20 chairs

Seat heights: 430mm or 460mm

Colours: Blue, Charcoal, Flame or Indian Red

Recommended stack: 10 chairs

Load capacity: 158kg / 25 stone

Standard: BS EN 1729 Parts 1 and 2

Warranty: 25 years
